I moan a lot about the stupidity of callers- but sometimes I even I err, although my comments have at least some humour about them rather than being purely moronic, take today as an example.
I was asking about the santiary protection that that the woman used (I wouldn’t normally do this, but I have to for my job!) and she happend to comment that the reason she used a particular brand of tampon because she was allergic to most others, of course being a good customer service advisor I attempted to empathise by saying, “I can imagine what that’s like…”
Then realising just what I had just said I corrected myself by adding, “… actually if I’m honest, no I can’t.”
Luckily that caller had a sense of humour!
