It’s Yo’ Birthday

Filed under: Black and White, Events, POTD — Camera Dave @ 1:25 am
Just one of many groups of friends out to celebrate a birthday

Seems like everyone is celebrating birthdays this week for some reason, I can only assume that back in the 70’s and 80’s that March tended to be a boring month. Anyways I think I wished those I need to a Happy Birthday when I was at Score and if I didn’t and you’re reading this I’ll wish you a belated one now, as ever the photos are up in the galleries.

A New German War Joke

Filed under: Germany, Humour — Camera Dave @ 2:01 pm

Despite a love of pun and wordplay my sense of humour is tends towards the dark, sick and un-PC and the only thing in my opinion funnier than a good German war joke is telling a bad German war joke to a class full of German students - I know this as I actually told a selection of such jokes to a class on my last day in Germany, it went so well I had to use my necrophilia jokes to revive my lesson.

Anyways whilst browsing the Internet at work today I have found a German war joke that I haven’t seen before and apparently was stolen from someone at the Edinburgh Festival and so I am going to appropriate it for my site as well (and for any other lessons I may or may not do in Germany on comedy):

“Wouldn’t Hitler have been crap at the game paper, rock and scissors?” (He then mimes the game before breaking into Hitler’s salute, which is like the symbol for paper.)

“Winston Churchill should have challenged him to a game.” (He then holds his arm in the air mimicking Churchill’s V-sign victory salute, which looks like scissors, which beats paper.)

Once More Unto The Breach

Glamorgan SU bar Shafts looking sharp

It’s once more unto Glamorgan for a night of photography and I cannot help but hope that the weather warnings I have been hearing about on the news are going to result in me being stuck in Glamorgan tomorrow thanks to the wrong kind of snow or some such - It sure beats the alternative of another day of mindless drudgery at the day job!

Last Will and Testament

Now I have great fact in the fact I am invincible and if dropped; like a baby, I’ll just bounce.  So as I should never need one I have decided that I’ll save money and rather than have a solictor create it let the Internet write mine for me:

I, Camera Dave, being of sound mind, hereby bequeath my entire estate to the Power Rangers. I do this because they understand me.My only regret in this life was that I didn’t cry in the corner enough.

I’m off to cry in a corner for a bit because I certainly don’t cry in corners that often, so maybe I don’t do it enough.
