Wimbledon

Filed under: Random — Camera Dave @ 11:17 am

It’s that time of the year when the world seems to revolve around SW19 for two brief weeks and Iraq and other such important things are displaced from the news by disappointment after disappointment about how well the British players aren’t doing.

This morning before leaving the house on the BBC Breakfats news I found out how Andrew Murray has dropped out at the last minute due to a wrist injury  meaning that the “hopes of Britain” rest once more on Tim Henman, a man with a proven track record of disappointing his fans.

Then on the way to work thanks to the Metro I learned that the strawberry ‘crisis’ that Wimbledon was facing has been averted.

Still with Henman almost certain to be knocked out of Wimbledon today in the first round today I can’t wait to see the headlines mourning Wimbledon tomorrow.
