I’m always amazed to hear of air crash victims so badly mutilated that they have to be identified by their dental records. If they don’t know who you are, how do they know who your dentist is?
I should have been spending tonight pulling an all nighter to get the photos from Wednesday’s Score and the photos of Toadfish up onto the website for your viewing pleasure.
However I have spent it grabbing a few hours sleep, before catching a 6am train back to Bristol so I can spent my day as a wage slave at work.
I am sorry for this, unfortunately there is a problem with the back end of the site with ftp access not currently avaliable. This means I cannot currently upload the photos into the galleries. The problem is being looked into and will be resolved as quickly as possible I hope, but it does mean however that the photos from both nights will not be up until either late Saturday night or sometime Sunday morning.
Last night the Bristol chapter of Students Supporting Street Kids organise a couple of hundred blind dates for students. Unfortunately I didn’t get to go on one myself, but I was at Reflex afterwards taking photos of couples (and the people who had abandoned their dates and rejoined their friends).
Despite what my music taste might suggest I actually do like music a lot, it’s just that some of the music I like might not be to everyone’s taste.
A couple of nights ago I wound up discussing music with a friend online and exchanging a few songs back and forth, unfortunately it was a bit slow sending songs back and forth thanks to internet connection problems and so I offered to make up a CD of songs that I thought they might like, the result can be seen above.
And also in reference to mixtapes and as a trial of something I am adding to the site, here is a song called “Mixtape” from the musical Avenue Q.
Also there may or may not be a problem with viewing the photos, if you get any strange messages, email me on dave@cameradave.co.uk and let me know. I want to see if just a problem that affects me.
And it’s still attracting comments from random people passing by, as well as children commenting on it which I mentioned the other day, I have also had a couple of random women come up to me and say, “I like your hair.” I find this find of embarrassing after all whilst my hair is rather funky at the moment and I like it and whilst I don’t have a problem with them liking it. I must admit that I feel awkward thanking them for the complement - It seems just a bit crass to just thank someone for a complement, or maybe I am just not used to receiving complements.
Anyone got any ideas what I should say to someone when they come up to me to tell me I have awesome hair?
That said I also have the best comment from a stranger about my hair today as well and I think it was a complement, but I am not quite sure. I was walking home with my head in the clouds when a car that was traveling down the road and stopped opposite me and the driver leaned out to shout across the road and say, “Well it beats going grey!” And then driving off before I had a chance to reply, although he is right green hair is better than grey - Unless of course you wake up one mornign and find your hair has gone green forno reason, that would probably be a hint to go and get to the doctors asap.
