…Or at least they are nicer than the gents where I work. How do I know this? Because for the last 2 days at work I have been using them.
This is particularly amusing for me, because on Saturday night when I was dressed as a lady, both my friends and security were all asking me whether I was going to be using the ladies or gents when I went. As I said to them at the time, I may be in a dress, but as can easily be seen I am a man and so I’ll be using the gents - Besides it’s funny seeing the faces of other men as they realise who is in the toilets with them.
So why am I using the ladies lavatories at work at the moment? Because the gentleman’s loos are out of bog roll and have been since Friday. Thankfully, it’s been a quiet weekend in work thanks to the bank holiday weekend and so I haven’t scared anyone when I have knocked on the doors asking in a deep manly voice, “Is anyone in there?”
And it’s not just the presence of toilet paper that makes the ladies better than the gents, although that is a important factor. The ladies is also roomier and better lit with windows (although to be fair the windows do have signs on them saying, “Do not open”) giving an altogether more pleasant bathroom experience.
Still women like disabled people may have better toilets than men, but at least I can console myself with the thought I can pee standing up and not get my feet wet - Plus on a night out in Bristol men have a choice of pop up urinals or dark alleys and women just get the latter.
