I am a reasonably security concious person - I never leave my bike unlocked and unattended. I can’t however say I am very security concious, as whilst I always leave my bike locked up I somehow managed to leave the key in the lock earlier today.

The best bit was once I discovered that the key was no longer on my keyring I went round the shop I had just been in trying to see where I had dropped it. Mind you at least I learned from the last time I lost a set of bike keys, this time the spare wasn’t attached to the actual key and so all I had to do was pop home, pick up the spare key and feel like a fool when I found the original key in the lock.

A couple of days ago I posed a riddle, “What happens if you pick on Charlie Brown?”
Then answer of course is; “The dog gets it”.

Or at least that is what this piece of Bristol graffiti would have you believe.

A couple of days ago I asked what song title this pictogram could possibly represent:

Before I give it away completely the band who performed this song were the Beach Boys…
Still not got it, the track has the same title as the album it’s on…
That’s right it’s Pet Sounds from the album Pet sounds. Now for a word of warning I drew about 30 of these pictograms at the time and I have added a few more since so tere may well be some more of these soon.
For the moment however here is a riddle inspired by a piece of graffiti I saw on the way to work the other day that is tenuously connected to music. In 1959 in the song the Coasters had a top 10 hit with the song Charlie Brown, where Charlie Brown asked the question, “Why’s everybody always picking on me?”
Now although that Charlie Brown has no connection to Charlie Brown of Peanuts’ fame, I ask you what happens if you pick on Charlie Brown?

In a surprising turn of events, despite going out with a camera last nigh I only took one photo (and even that was on my cameraphone whilst amusing myself waiting for the train). - Still for a photo of me it doesn’t look to bad.
I have to admit that I felt somewhat naked with out my camera*, but I have to admit I actually had a great time out. Normally because of the camera I have to stay clear of the foam at a foam party, but stripped of my camera and after a couple of drinks I had no such worries.
*And even more naked on the repeated occasions I was forced to take my shirt off.

When I woke up this morning, my body may have been functioning, but my mind was not. It took me twenty minutes to work out what was wrong as I was working to work this morning. The world looked blurry and even after that personal epiphany it still took me a few second longer to work out why - I didn’t have my glasses on.
There is a very simple reason why I wear glasses, my eyesight is crap. I may only have two eyes, but I manage to be both long and short-sighted, as well as astigmatic. That is not the reason however, I can cope with a blurry looking world for the most part and it does have some advantages, such as making some people appear more attractive than they actually are.
The reason I wear them is without them I suffer headaches, like the one I have had all day at work. Where to see the computer screen clearly I have almost had to have my nose touching the screen*. Even worse it has meant that I have not been able to spend my day at work as I normally do, reading books and browsing at articles online. It’s surprising how long 8 hours is when you try and spend most of it sat with your eyes closed, you may not be clock watching but it certainly seems to have the same effect.
*And that isn’t too much of an exaggeration unfortunately.

The above picture is about the limit of my skill with a pen or pencil and shows why I stick to using a camera when doing portraits. I might only be an average photographer, but I am certainly a sub-par illustrator.
